So I tried to crochet.....

I was so proud of myself!! I made this bootie all by myself as part of a service project to send to Haiti.
I even made the match to make a pair!!
Only there is a definite problem...they are NOT the same size. (they are lined up in the back) I obviously did not count my stitches.....I guess I will have to make another one and hopefully it will match one of the two sizes!!!!

First taste of Ketchup!!!!!

I made lunch for Bigman the other day and I decided to give him a taste of Ketchup with his hot dog.
He dipped his fingers in the ketchup and then picked up the little pieces of hot dog. They were all gone in a hurry....and then he spread it all over his face! (the only sad part was he broke out in hives after his nap...no more ketchup for him!!)

Two Months??

The last two months have gone by in such a whirlwind that I sometimes find myself thinking, Wow that happened ONLY two months ago?? And then I think that was a LONG two months!!! On December 13th I was called as our Ward Relief Society President. The ward I was in was split three different ways and although it has been hard to be separated from good friends, it is a great opportunity to meet new ones. That call led me to have the fun assignment to speak in Sacrament meeting the very next week!! (the week of Christmas... nothing going on that week, let's just prepare a talk!) We then had the fun experience of taking a family trip to see the other Freeze's in Indiana for New Years. So much fun!! The two families really get along and the kids had an absolute blast....
We had been home about a week, when my cute Mom had a bad fall and ended up having to have brain surgery.
She never did recover.
My sweet Mom died on Jan 20th 2010.
I spoke at her funeral (probably one of the hardest things I have had to do emotionally in my life as to date...) my kids and husband and I all had the stomach flu that week and I also got to teach Relief Society that week!! I was emotionally done and spiritually drained.
So grateful for wonderful friends who watched my kids, brought in meals, and just called or sent cards. What would I have done without them??
Time Ticks on and we are already at Feb. 11th. One month ago tomorrow Mom fell. Did that happen only one month ago???
