Haircuts for everyone.....

Sis #3 came to me the other day and told me she had cut her Barbie's hair. She was really upset and I found out later that she had also cut her hair. She took a chunk out of each side. She is supposed to have an "A" line cut where it is longer in the front and shorter in the back. Now it looks like her bangs are growing out...when they used to be chin length.

Sis #2 decided she wanted bangs again....

Here is the other Barbie's hair that received a haircut. I told Sis #3 that people went to school to learn how to cut hair and we shouldn't be cutting hair. She then told me that she had been to preschool and that she was "qualified" to cut!! ( I told her to stick to paper).

And of course Heidi got a haircut.....

Look what we found....

Sister #1 is getting ready for girls camp tonight, packing and gathering everything, and she needed to charge her camera. We found the charger(miracles never cease) and decided to upload her pics so it was a "clean" chip for camp. As she was doing this, look what we found!! Sis #3 posed as Snow White after she took a bite of the apple. I thought it was very cute and quite inventive on Sis #1 and #2 to actually take a picture of this scene. (take note of the placement of the apple and her cupped hand!) I really like the smirky smile on her face as sis #2 tells her to act dead.....

Breakfast...

I came downstairs the other day and found bigman on the table helping himself to breakfast.
Of course he ate half the box this way. He is totally his father's son!! They both love coco puffs....

Every morning....

This is the picture that happens every morning at my house. These two little ones wake up and want "Ka". For those of you who know your Egyptian history it is the best thing you can have. And my two little ones know it as chocolate milk. Every morning they want ka and a show. Preferably Curious George......

You gotta love ice cream sandwiches!!!!!

Here is another try, do you know what it is?? No, not the ice cream sandwiches, they have contacts!!! They both had an eye exam last week and were fitted with contacts. Both of them have done very well. Only one ripped one!!! In fact, just today the year's supply for both sets of contact came in the mail. Wow they are both growing up....

4th of July...

Our little street does fireworks every 4th. Because the 4th was on Sunday this year, we opted to do the fireworks on Saturday. As you can tell from the picture, we are all wrapped up in blankets and sweatshirts!! It was very windy (borderline dangerous for the firework show) and the temperature didn't even hit 80 that day, so it was very chilly!!
Here is sis.#3 with her "bee" and jacket...bigman was in bed this year, maybe next year for him.
And of course we had lots of fun fireworks to watch and cheer for! Our favorites were the spider, the zombie, the livewire, and the myian!! (even though we did have to put out the flame that engulfed the livewire) Happy 4th 2010.....

Sprinkler problem....

So last week I was sitting at the computer one morning and I noticed that the water was running down the black path in the back. The city sprinklers had just turned off, so I thought, wow that is a major draining problem from the city sprinklers. Later that evening when I came back to the computer I noticed that the water was still running. I said to the girls, " I am going to call the city and have them come and look at their sprinklers." They then told me they had noticed the water gushing out of our rock wall!!! It's not the city's it is our water!!!! I went and shut off the main water and of course went and got the man in charge. Then the project of finding where the break was began. ( I love the helper in this photo)
After digging 3 holes, he found it!! Spent some time at Lowe's and found the parts he needed.
And here is the finished project!! He bought flexible pipe so hopefully it won't happen again!!! Good work honey.....

New adventure.....

So I have started running. I am not a marathon runner. I am not a fast runner. But the ladies in my neighborhood/ward have put together two teams for this race and asked me to be a part of the second team. I hope I can do this, I am told it is super fun I am counting on that.....
